The BC Pension Corporation is one of the largest pension benefit administrators in Canada. Operating in a complex environment, it administers five plans to 411,000 members with over $60-billion in assets. It is embarking on a major program of transformation to meet the rising challenges that are emerging in the pension industry. Demographic trends have made pension issues topical and high profile. The Corporation is about to make significant changes in technology and business process as part of an enterprise transformation strategy aimed at enhancing services to members, Boards and employers.
Reporting to the CEO and as a key member of a small executive team, you will provide overall leadership of the portfolio of the IT projects embedded in this transformation. Improve efficiencies. Provide greater channel choice. Enhance client service and data security. In addition, you will lead human resources and provide proactive and enabling solutions that support effective service to the Boards, members and employers of the various BC public sector pension plans served.
As the ideal candidate, you will bring executive level experience leading technology strategy and its execution within a business-to-consumer, service-oriented organization where technology and information systems are critical to the success of the business. Alternatively you will be in an IT consulting firm with implementation experience. Exceptional interpersonal, communication skills and experience in human resources leadership will be an asset to this role.
