We are currently recruiting for a temporary Project Manager. We anticipate the project completion date will be approximately May 31, 2013. An attractive remuneration package, considering skills and experience, will be negotiated with the successful candidates.
The implementation of the Next Generation EHR: Primary and Urgent Care Services project within Oceanside Health Center will demonstrate the first implementation of a new model of EHR development leveraging a fully integrated (paperless) electronic health record all enabled by leading edge information technology and a inter-professional team electronic documentation that will focus on a holistic approach to patient-centered and sustainable health care.
As the Project Manager, you will plan, organize and control all activities associated with the implementation of assigned projects. You will be managing a cross functional project team to produce deliverables, based on the requirements that are high quality, on time and on budget. Taking projects from original concept through final implementation is a key responsibility and includes contract negotiations, identifying process inefficiencies, developing solutions, as well as identifying project risks and creating risk mitigation plans.
Supplementing your Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Health Information Science or Computer Science, you have at least 7 years experience working within or directly with a health care system including several years as a project manager or project coordinator. Your experience and knowledge includes working with the Project Management Institute's PMBOK methodology.
You have demonstrated your project management skills with the successful completion of one large information technology project within the last three years. You have intermediate to expert-level system implementation skills with a proven ability to track, coordinate and integrate external issues affecting your team's proposal/action plan. You have excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with the ability to write or edit high quality business documents (e.g. master project plans, risk management plans, communication plans, progress reports, project wrap-up documentation).
Additionally you can write, analyze and edit project plans, proposals, Service Level Agreements and MOU's for accuracy and consistency. With your superior interpersonal skills you care able to lead a diverse project team and interact comfortably with senior personnel in the organization as well as conduct presentations, interviews, negotiations and facilitate as required.
