The new Division at the Department of Health and Social Services (HSS) – “System Innovation” in the NWT is seeking some bright talent to help them with a few projects.
The HSS department is “responsible and accountable for managing the strategic planning and implementation of several key system reform initiatives that collectively change the structure of health and social services delivery in the NWT”.Current projects:
1) A Physician virtual on-call support center for all the NWT health system;
2) Medical Triage and Medical Travel reform;
3) Back office services:
- P2P centralized/decentralized all HSS purchasing;
- Centralized/decentralized IS/IT (rather than each of 8 Health Authorities having their own shops).
The interns' roles will be in support of these projects from: a) business case build; b) pilot design, implementation, evaluation; c) project implementation based on the BC.
The salary is approximate and is +40$ per hour @ 37.5 hours a week. Or plus $78,000 per year.
