- Post-secondary education (diploma, certificate or other formal coursework) in a Communications field, e.g., Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Applied Communications, Technical Writing, Event Planning or similar, plus two years related experience (see below).
- Two years related experience including event planning, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Two years related experience including researching, writing, editing and proofreading a wide variety of published material, communications projects, and/or materials for the web in a communications work environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, social media tools (blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), graphic editors, layout and design programs such as InDesign and related applications.
