Phoenix Human Services Association is looking to contract with a Clinical Consultant for a period of one year to provide consultation and professional development support to seven Child, Youth and Family Counsellors that work in a child and youth protection service-oriented environment in partnership with the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Counsellors undertake service plans with a particular emphasis on risk reduction, family preservation and reunification and resiliency building. The Counsellors work directly with children, youth and their families predominantly on an outreach basis. It is important that the Clinical Consultant be well familiarized with this field of work, the issues embodied therein, the particular challenges that Counsellors face and the various interventions that can be applied in this context to create meaningful and sustainable change for the persons being served.
The Clinical Consultant will be expected to provide up to one hour per month of individual consultation to each of the seven Counsellors for a total of 7 hours per month. There may be an opportunity to increase the monthly maximum hours as organizational capacity increases. Consultation in a group setting may also be desirable at some point during the tenure of the contract.
Please submit your cover letter and resume via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your cover letter should include:
- a price per hour for clinical consultation, and
- a brief synopsis of your proposed approach to delivering clinical consultation to this group of Counsellors.
Expressions of interest from proponents that can offer a slate of qualified Clinical Consultants are also welcome.
Please direct any enquiries to George Klukowski, Executive Director at 250-995-5510 and/or at the e-mail address listed above. This posting closes on March 23, 2012.
