Royal Roads University has another recognition to add to our growing list of accomplishments. RRU's BA in Justice Studies is the only undergraduate justice studies program in the world that is recognized for entry into the University of London's Masters of Laws degree for international students. Dr James Busuttil, Director of the International LLM, University of London, recently met with several senior staff and faculty and hand delivered the letter of acceptance, which was negotiated following a visit and meetings in May 2012. The letter reads, in part, “…for the purposes of the Entrance Requirements to the Postgraduate Laws Programme for International Students of the University of London, a holder of the BA in Justice Studies from Royal Roads University with a GPA of 3.0 or higher has received a degree ‘in a subject appropriate to the LLM, of an acceptable university outside the European Union, with a result considered by the University of London to be equivalent to at least Second Class Honours’, so that such a person can be accepted to study the Master of Laws (LLM) immediately.” This recognition is quite an honour and one of a kind. As James noted, the RRU BA Justice Studies’ content, rigour and outcomes make it the only such program he’s come across in all his international travels allowing him to grant immediate entrance for its graduates.
