TEDxVictoriaWomen, a live simulcast of TEDxWomen 2012 from Washington, D.C., will be taking place in the Centre for Dialogue on Dec. 1 from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There are currently 82 events all around the world signed up to host a TEDxWomen livestream event in their community, including events in Algeria, Brazil, China, South Korea and Uganda. Hosted by Pat Mitchell, President and CEO of the Paley Center for Media, the theme for 2012 is The Space Between, which brings forward conversation threads from previous conferences -- how women are less likely to approach subjects from a black-or-white perspective…that they see the gray area in between. There is a curiosity in wanting to explore what is in between extremes, to gain the big picture and find the areas where we need more understanding and perhaps compromise. Women know that this is where life happens -- the places in between.
