Student Ruby Rana named European Union - Early Stage Researcher and Marie Curie PhD Fellow

Congratulations to MA Intercultural and International Communication student Ruby Rana on being selected as European Union - Early Stage Researcher and Marie Curie PhD Fellow. Ruby is employed by the European Union for the Diasporic Constructions of Home and Belonging (CoHaB) project. She will be based in Mumbai for the next three years. In addition to her research, she will be attending various international conferences, participating in two secondments, most likely in England and Germany, and a placement in India outside of Mumbai. She will be moving to Mumbai soon after convocation and attending her first international research meeting at Oxford University in mid-November. “My RRU experience gave me more confidence and courage to search for, and go after, what I wanted most,” says Ruby. “I am happy to say I have found what I was looking for ... and as I said at the beginning of my MAIIC degree, ‘This is just the beginning.’”
