One of the great new things about Royal Roads is our culturally diverse on-campus community. And campus engagement with last fall’s International Education Week made it clear that people here are excited to learn about other languages and cultural backgrounds. One of the events in last fall’s International Education Week was a pronunciation workshop, held in the library. The success of this workshop revealed a campus-wide interest in knowing how to speak a few friendly phrases in other languages. So the library is excited to announce a series of three more lunchtime pronunciation workshops, hosted by us and taught by some of our very own talented international students! Please join us in the library on February 13 from 1 – 1:45pm to learn some common Arabic phrases from Nidal Mousa, an RRU student and Orientation & Activities Assistant. We will provide baked goodies and welcome you to drop in during your lunch break for what’s sure to be a fun and enlightening session! In March we will focus on common greetings in Spanish and in April we will be offering an introduction to Mandarin. We hope to see you there!
