Michael Real speaks to CFAX about Super Bowl ads

This week, School of Communication and Culture Prof. Michael Real spoke to CFAX about the Super Bowl ads.

Michael discussed the range of the 54 ads from the mainstream tearjerkers (Clydesdale reunited with young man who raised him - Budweiser) to the edgy (Doritos' four clever ads including Goat 4 Sale and grown men playing children's drag game) and offensive (18 second wet kiss between swimsuit model Bar Refaeli and young geek).

A highlight from the advertising side was the rapid response to the power outage within five minutes by Oreo with a tweet, "Power Out. No Problem." Complete with a slick ad that shows a cookie in the dark and reads, "You can still dunk in the dark."
