It gives me great pleasure to announce that Marie Graf has been selected to receive this year's Kelly Outstanding Teaching Award.
Marie, an associate faculty member in the School of Leadership Studies, impressed the selection committee with her ability to not only use her knowledge and skills, but her heart and passion to engage, challenge, and mentor RRU students. Marie’s continuous efforts to improve her teaching, her contribution beyond the classroom, and her work behind the scenes to synthesize and clarify guidelines for students and to mentor new faculty members further demonstrates her commitment to teaching excellence.
An awards presentation for Marie will take place during the Campus Conversation on Oct. 30.
The committee would also like to acknowledge all 15 nominees for their superb contributions to teaching at RRU. Members of the committee carefully reviewed all submissions and, without exception, were very impressed with the quality, depth and passionate commitment to teaching evident within each of the nominees’ materials, making the task of the Committee very challenging.
Many thanks to Mickie Noble (Chair), Shauna Fenwick, Charles Krusekopf, Zhenyi Li, Barbara VanderLinden, and Phil Cady for serving on this year’s Selection Committee.
