Some parents call him the “cookie guy.” That’s because Chris Rogerson knows exactly when their child living in university residence for the first time will need a care package from home. (In six weeks, if you’re wondering). As associate director of student life, Rogerson has spent the past six years on call, 24 hours a day, every day, serving the needs of students living in residence. There’s likely no one on campus who knows students better than Rogerson, or who has done more to help them through their best and worst days. That’s why he’s the 2012 recipient of SFU’s Staff Achievement Award for Student Services.
