polar bear

You have just a few days to send us your best original written submission describing the kind of future you want for our planet.

The contest is open to RRU staff, students and facutly, and the winner will receive a one-of-a-kind 2013 Robert Bateman calendar containing an original impromptu sketch by Mr. Bateman. The drawing was inspired by the view he saw last month from the fourth floor of the LIC looking out at the treetops, ocean and mountains beyond while giving his annual public lecture. Besides taking home the calendar, the winning entry will also be published on the Continuing Studies' blog in January.  The runner up entry will receive an autographed copy of Hope and Wild Apples, a small self-published book by Robert Bateman that’s about our choices and where those choices can lead us in terms of a sustainable existence for all. Please send your submission of up to 750 words to by no later than this coming Monday, Jan. 7. The winner will be announced on January 11.
