Know someone who is unemployed and needs skills?

Unemployed

The Employment Skills Access Program could be their next step.

A 10 week, part-time program, the Professional Communication Skills Certificate is designed to broaden understanding and development of: communication and human interaction skills; personal responsibility and leadership; planning and performance management; critical thinking and problem-solving; relationship and team-building; perspectives and awareness; self-development and leadership; social media and entrepreneurial skills; and computer literacy with an aim to enhance job search skills and confidence toward successful employment.

Each participant will also choose a “stream” or “specialty option” within the certificate in either: Customer Service Management Skills; or Business Administration and Accounting Preparatory; or Project Management.

Additionally, we’ve added career transition supports such as a weeklong Career Exploration and Transition Intensive, midpoint interview skills practice (with real world employers), and one-on-one coaching sessions with a certified Executive Coach. The certificate finishes with a two day capstone.

Next available intakes for the Professional Communications Skills Certificate:

March 18 to June 7, 2013
