Last week a few of our Employment Skills Access (ESA) students, their families and a RRU faculty member, took it upon themselves to give back to the University. Spearheaded by ESA participant, Tod Marshall (and his son - pictured above), students took out their boots and gloves and even a canoe and headed down to the lagoon. They spent a good few hours picking up trash of all sorts and sizes (candy wrappers to couch cushions to tires!) from our shoreline, helping to preserve the habitat of the lagoon and its beauty. We here in Continuing Studies would like to take this time to recognize this great initiative and thank everyone who participated and supported this amazing effort!
