- Post-traumatic stress
If you have a question about what may, or may not, be eligible for accommodations, please contact please contact Michelle Underdown.
The Royal Roads University Food Bank supports RRU students who are on a very tight budget…no questions asked. Local/regional or residency students can access the Food Bank by visiting the RRU Recreation Centre, which is open seven days a week. Donations also welcome!
Awards competitions are administered every three months: November 1, February 1, May 1 and August 1 of each year. Awards vary from competition to competition, and students can apply as many times as they would like (as long as they are registered in coursework). These awards will not cover the cost of tuition, but can ease financial stress. There is also a limited supply of specialized or emergency funding available for students. If you have a question about how to refer a student to Financial Aid and Awards, please contact Gwen Campden, Manager, or Meghan Reusing, Financial Aid & Awards Advisor, via firstname.lastname@example.org
The International Student Liaison offers international student advising and cultural support to our international students. As academic stress mounts, international students may experience increased homesickness. RRU’s International Student Liaison can help address some of these feelings of anxiety and connect a student with appropriate supports. If you have a question about support available, or how to refer an international student, please contact Viral Mangukia at: email@example.com.
The office of Indigenous Student Services provides on campus and on-line learning support and assistance for Indigenous and Metis students. Cultural, academic and financial assistance, as well as general support are available. If you have a question about support available, or how to refer a student, please contact Asmanahi Antoine, Manager, Indigenous Education and Student Services.
If students are looking for a way to engage, either on-campus, remotely, or in a different city, our student activities assistants can help make active connections. These assistants plan regular events for social engagement and also manage the Student Services Facebook page.
Thank you again, and if you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
