Parks Canada Bio-Blitz May 22-23; Species are 'counting' on you!

In support of International Bio-Diversity Day (May 22nd) Parks Canada is hosting Bio-Blitz 2015 and there are local events on/near the South Island. 

WHO? EVERYONE is welcome, from professional scientists, student specialists and naturalists to families and individuals with no expertise but lots of enthusiasm.WHAT? Both BioBlitz events will include species surveys (registration required, space limited, most suited to familieswith children over 10) and fun drop-in activities (no registration required, suitable for all ages, schedules available soon).Species observations will be recorded with smart phones and digital cameras. WHY? Help support Parks Canada’s conservation efforts. Registered participants can camp for free at Parks Canada sites (space limited). Spend a weekend outdoors with like-minded people. Have some fun!
