POST ENBRIDGE CELEBRATION

Jan 11th, 10pm - Felicitas Pub UVIC Campus

It's 10pm on Friday the 11th. Enbridge has packed up and gone home. Where are you going to be celebrating? Why not come down to Felicita's, celebrate with some live music, tasty treats, and lovely people :) $5 minimum donation at the door. Can't afford it? We've got you covered. Proceeds to SocialCoast. Music all night from 3 local bands

 

KNOCK THE VOTE

Jan 11th, 4 to 6 PM, meet outside Delta Pointe Hotel, 45 Songhees

Dogwood Initiative hosts an action in support of speakers testifying at the Enbridge pipeline hearings this week. Meet for hot chocolate and treats, then people will board buses and go door knocking to collect signatures for the No Tankers petition. See Facebook for more info and to reserve a spot on a bus.

 

RAINFOREST - The LIMIT OF SPLENDOR

Jan 11th, 7 PM, UVIC, David Lam Auditorium, MacLaurin Building A144

Film screening with filmmaker Richard Boyce. Documentary explores the westcoast rainforest threatened by industrial scale logging, pipelines and tree farms. See website for more info. Admission by $10 donation to Camas Books.

 

GREEN ECONOMY COMMUNITY BREAKFAST

Jan 18th, 8 to 10 AM, Victoria Conference Centre

Community members are invited to enjoy breakfast and share ideas and expertise with others helping to establish a new business as usual in the capital region. Tickets are $15 and can be ordered here.
