Aboriginal Emergency Assistance Fund (awarded as part of RRU’s President’s Aboriginal Support Bursary)
The Ministry of Advanced Education has provided Royal Roads University with funding in 2013 to offer emergency relief bursaries to Aboriginal students in order to create a positive impact on completion of study. The maximum value of the bursary is $700 per student in each academic year.

BC Aboriginal Student Award & Aboriginal Teacher Education Award
The Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society has established an award program for Aboriginal students pursuing post-secondary studies in British Columbia. Awards of $1,000 - $5,000 will be awarded to Aboriginal students who are BC residents and enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies at least nine weeks long. Beginning in 2013, a special focus and additional funding will be made available for students pursuing Master's and Doctoral degrees.
Selection is based on a variety of factors, including financial need, family and community responsibilities, and career and life goals.
