Ive been offered an extension at work and just wondering when full-time classes (or on campus classes) actually begin ? October 4th ? I have heard from some previous students that its usually around mid september ?

Thanks

Shaun

Hi Shaun,

Yes, on campus classes will begin on Sep 17, and the first couple of weeks contain a lot of vital information. In fact you would likely put your self at risk of failing the ENSC300 Foundations course if you were to miss the first 2-3 weeks. It is highly recommended to be here and ready to go for the first day.

Hey Rhett, Yeah I did not accept my extension, but just to be clear I am to be working through the pre-workbook now and on Sept 4th the foundations website opens and I start working on that from home until September 17th ... correct ?

Thanks

Shaun

Is anyone else having trouble loading the Pre-Entry Workbook? Google Chrome is telling me it cannot connect to media.royalroads.ca. Tried using Safari with no luck.

Hi Brad,

The server was down on campus yesterday, so there were access problems for all of our web content. Everything should be good to go though today. If it is still not working, perhaps try Firefox or Explorer, sometimes the different browsers can do funny things with our web programs. Let me know if you are still experiencing problems.

Cheers

Hi Holly,

The text list for your first course ENSC300 should get sent out by the bookstore right away, perhaps even later today. The list for the rest of the First Quarter classes will be sent out soon as well. I'm including the text list for ENSC300:

Textbook & Materials List for ENSC300

Course Start Date: September 4, 2012

You must bring a copy of this email to buy your texts on campus.

Does it matter if you fail the english test ... more than once ?

I havent attempted it yet but was thinking it would be nice to see the format of it in order to help me go through the material in the workbook...

No it does not matter if you fail it more than once. You just have to achieve a passing grade by Sep 16.
