Graduate Scholarships In Environmental Sciences And Engineering

The CSAP Society is supporting the next generation of Contaminated Site Approved Professionals by offering up to three $5000 scholarships to applied science and engineering graduate students whose research is relevant to the assessment and remediation of contaminated sites. Applicants must be engaged in a natural or applied science program leading to a post graduate project or thesis and must have a clearly defined research project and demonstrate the relevance of the research to the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites.

Applicants must also demonstrate exceptional promise, academic excellence, leadership and a strong commitment to contaminated sites research. Applicants are directed to the Ministry of Environment Land Remediation website: for more information on land remediation visit:
The Selection Committee will be guided by the following considerations:

  • Academic Record
  • Leadership Skills
  • Potential Benefit of the research to the process of contaminated sites
  • References (including a reference from your academic supervisor).


Applications require two references (excluding relatives). One reference must be from your supervising professor and the second from a professional reference who can verify your involvement in professional or community activities.

Submission Deadlines

Only application forms submitted by March 31, 2012 at 5pm Pacific Standard Time will be accepted. Once your application is submitted, you will receive an application number to be used on transcripts and reference reports.
