Name: Canadian Centre for Ethics and Corporate Policy Graduate

Award Eligibility: Any student registered in a Masters or Doctoral Program at a Canadianpost-secondary academic institution who has not already been a recipientof this Award.

Year: September 2011-August 2012

Amount: $5000 to be distributed in two parts as follows: (i) $2500 upon grant ofthe Award; and (ii) $2500 upon receipt of the report by the Centre.Application

Date: Submissions must be received by Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Centre's offices at: The Canadian Centre for Ethics and Corporate PolicyOne Yonge Street, Suite 1801, Toronto, Ontario M5E 1W7

Criteria: The Award is to provide financial support for a project presented as part ofan academic program that relates to applied business ethics. The term'business ethics' includes any ethics related issue in both the for-profit andnot-for-profit context, and is an issue that is, first, controversial (i.e., thereare significant groups for and against) and, secondly, a distinctly moral issueas opposed to one of social policy. Priority will be given to work related to matters ofCanadian interest. The award recipient will be selected by a committee ofthe Canadian Centre for Ethics and Corporate Policy.

Conditions: The submission must follow the application criteria attached. Thesuccessful candidate agrees to provide the Centre with a report at thecompletion of the project that may be included on the public web site ofthe Centre. This report should be available within 18 months of receipt ofthe award. The candidate also agrees to acknowledge the financial supportof the Centre in any publications and presentations of the project.
