Aboriginal Skills & Employement Training Strategy (ASETS) For the Education/Training Facility - Funding Program

The organization funds:

  • Off reserve Aboriginals - First Nations / Inuit / Metis
  • Full-time studies (full day training & over 25 hours per week)
  • Courses that take place at a school or training site
  • Those who are unemployed, underemployed or who do not possess employable skills
  • Last year of a university program

What is required in order to apply:

  • An acceptance letter from the training institution or employer
  • A schedule of all fees for the course
  • Documents from the school stating the start and end date of the training
  • Address, phone/fax number from the training institution or employer
  • Contract person at the training institution or business
  • A current resume
  • Details and contact information of any other funding partners must be provided
