The Federation of Community Social Services of BC (FCSSBC) bursaries assist young people in and from care with the financial cost of tuition, books, and supplies for academic training or academic upgrading. This bursary is avaialble to a maximum of $2,000 per academic year (two semesters).
1. You are currenlty in care or a former youth in care in BC. This includes being under a continuing custody order; temporary custody order; or Youth Agreement under BC's Child, Family and Community Services Act.
2. You are a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant.
3. You are 25 years old or younger in the year of your application.
4. You are currently attending or planning to enroll in a post-secondary academic program in recognized public post-secondary institution; if you are unsure there is a list on the BC Ministry of Advanced Education website at http://www.aved.gov.bc.ca/publicpsed/welcome.htm
