School of Humanitarian Studies Prof. Kenneth Christie was interviewed by CTV Vancouver Island Nov. 30 about a disruption outside the Masjid Al-Iman mosque in Victoria. The mosque’s Saturday open house was interrupted by a man upset about his son’s radicalization.
“After terrorist attacks, you are going to have an increase in xenophobia,” says Christie. “You are going to have an increase in discrimination against people who associate terrorist acts with a particular religion.”
