Lily Seto receives Leadership Victoria Award
From youth to lifetime achievement, the 2016 recipients of the prestigious Victoria Leadership Awards in nine award categories were honoured last week at a gala ceremony at the Victoria Conference Centre.
Royal Roads graduate and current associate faculty teaching Intercultural Competence and Global Coaching, Lily Seto received the Leadership Excellence through Coaching and Mentoring Award.
As the recent coaching strategist for the Talent Management Branch of the B.C. Public Service Agency (Lily recently retired), Lily was responsible for developing coaching standards, and training management as coaches for their employees, bringing the power of "The Coach Approach" and ensuring that British Columbia's population was served by well-coached public employees.
Through her consulting, coaching and teaching, Lily is dedicated to bringing a coaching culture to all. She is increasingly becoming known as an expert in coaching management and coach supervision, and her past work at Canada’s Indian and Northern Affairs Ministry is considered a model throughout the federal government.
Never one to forget that good work comes from within, Lily is constantly learning, adjusting and adapting her own coaching approach through formal studies, self-reflection and peer groups. She has inspired many to commit to a coach approach in their work. See here to learn more about Lily.
