Counselling Services

Life can be complicated. This is especially true when you are trying to juggle your life and your learning. We recognize that from time to time personal issues may arise that may have a profound effect on your life.  To support you during difficult times, RRU offers a voluntary, free personal counselling service to provide confidential information and referrals, brief counselling and support or guidance. 

Who are our counsellors?
Counselling services are provided by Colwood Family Counselling.

What kinds of services are available? Our counsellors will discuss any range of topics, including:

  • Stress management
  • Time management
  • Anxiety
  • Anger management
  • Depression
  • Emotional difficulties
  • Sexual or physical abuse/assault
  • Substance abuse
  • Loss or bereavement
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Family and marital issues
  • Group dynamics
  • Single parent issues
  • Separation/divorce concerns

Confidentiality is of the utmost importance and is maintained at all times, so that every effort is taken to ensure client anonymity.

How do you make an appointment?  Appointments can be made via e-mail or phone (see contact info below). Simply identify yourself as an RRU student.
